Hello! Welcome to Color me Blood Red, a weekly rotation site featuring oodles of music and videos for your listening/viewing pleasure. Mainly Jrock stuffs, but I tend to throw on whatever genres (mostly some amazing European metal) I feel like. *bows* Come on in and enjoy!!
Today's Random Thought (07/05/07):
As of Wednesday night while I'm updating, I'm thinking of putting an under construction version of my rotation up on Thursday at its usual time and then just stick in the pending requests. Unfortunately, given that I was out of town from Friday to Monday night, I only got to searching for files a few days ago so most have not yet finished downloading. They're on their way, everyone!! Please, please check back at a later date, especially when the under construction tag is out of the way. I apologize for the delay. :(
Also, a huge, huge THANK YOU to everyone who sent me their wishes and unnecessary gifts on my site's anniversary. I greatly appreciated it, especially when it's you guys that deserve a round of applause for continuing to support me through your comments and requests. *huggles for everyone* Thanks!
PS. *smacks herself in the head* And I forgot to upload my updated lists to my server. Gomen, gomen. They're up now. -__-;
A few rules:
1) Please, please don't go crazy when requesting stuff! Under 10 albums/videos at once sounds quite reasonable to me, excluding discographies, which are allowed. But do let others have a chance as well: there's always next week. ^____^
2) If you do not have a lj-account: the comment is listed as anonymous, so feel free to leave an email address or name if you want your stuff to be grouped together or you want to be notified. Completely optional, of course. Also, please do note that wait times may vary depending on my list of requests and if I have to locate something. He he I'm not ignoring your requests, just keep checking back. It won't be more than 1-2 weeks.
3) Here are my playlists, but feel free to request anything in absolutely any musical genre; however, please, PLEASE refrain from requesting mainstream music as it's very easily accessible elsewhere and the goal of my site is to introduce obscure-ish, international, and highly underappreciated, artists... please let me do so, but again feel free to request anything that's not here and I will try tirelessly to locate it for you. Do understand that I can't guarantee anything that isn't on these lists. I have been *grins proudly* quite good at finding stuff in the past....

4) Done? Now comment below. ^^
Yeah, I was thinking I should put this up here someday: somewhat-LEGAL DISCLAIMER: These files are meant for sampling purposes. Yup. *nods* If you really like what you hear, then go out and BUY the album, and prove to the bands that you do indeed love them. YesAsia is a great place for all Oriental stuffs featured here. I don't buy European albums online, but honestly, the Genghis Khan of Internet-dom: Amazon should help you out there. That's it. Enjoy!! ^_____^

Comment: [English (Australia); Post-Grunge] And because I can't say it any better than this: "[this is] a humorous cover version of Destiny's Child's hit single "Say My Name", performed in a post grunge/nu metal style, however the song was not included due to the threat of a lawsuit by Destiny's Child's record label. It was leaked, however, and is readily available and easy to find on the internet on websites and P2P networks." (wikipedia) ha ha enough said. XDDD [German; New Wave] Oh, this is a classic 80s song that I just love! :) especially when stuff not in English isn't made popular very easily.
Sick Puppies: Say My Name
Nena: 99 Luftballoons***
To:
Comment: [English (Canada); Alt Rock] Gah, more Canadian stuff, this time coming from the band that seems to be overplayed on the stations that are set in the car. XD Esp. this song. I swear I can sing along to this if I was crazy (and maybe drunk ^^) enough to do so. Heard it kazillions of times. -__- [English (USA); Gothic] I've had some albums of the Cruxshadows up before, but it's just a single song this time, coming in it's remix form.
Barenaked Ladies: The Old Apartment
Cruxshadows: Untrue (Trevor Brown Remix)

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Random tracks all in .wma format (I accidentally upped many of these in .mp3 format as well because I forgot, so if you want them, let me know as I prob. have the links. ^^) Anyways, Alice9 in from their fairly recent single of the same name. Dir en Grey is from Macabre. Toumei... is from somewhere. XD I forgot and don't want to go back and check (I'm running behind) The latter Pierrot is from Private Enemy. As for the Despairs Ray, the majority, if I'm not mistaken, is from the lovely Coll:Set.
Alice Nine: Kowloon -Nine Heads Radio Show-
Dir en Grey: Wake***
Pierrot: Toumei Yue Ningen Nari
Pierrot: Analyze Chat
Despairs Ray: Garnet***
Despairs Ray: Tsuki no Kioku -Fallen-***
Despairs Ray: Fuyu Shita Risou***
Despairs Ray: Forbidden***

Comment:[Japanese; Rock] Some more random tracks. I believe Merry is from Nu Chemical Rhetoric. Or at least I think I remember seeing that on the tag. XD Berry is from... hmmm... Macabre, just like the Wake above. *nods proudly* Lastly, the Miyavi is from the single of the same name. I think this is one of my fav Miyavi songs. It's so pretty. :D
Merry: Kubitsuri Rondo
Dir en Grey: Berry***
Miyavi: Ashita, Genki ni Naare
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Somewhat random 12012. I was pretty sure it was supposed to be single songs, right? *looks around uneasily* Anyways, let me know... but the first two tracks are the Pistol single, which was likewise featured last week in zip format. The last track is from their album, Play Dolls. ^__^
12012: Pistol***
12012: Want Want Want***
12012: Hermit***

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Umm... I'm not quite sure where this is from. It has a lovely name though, and is typical of Lareine's earlier style. [German; Industrial] Gah! I adore this song. It was the first I heard from either band and fell in love with both of them! XD I especially love the chorus to this... oh! very lovely! [German; Pop] This is a single, as I learned, is from the boy band formed from the show Popstars: Das Duell. Yes, and I'm sure everyone knows where I sit on the subject... :D [English (Estonia); Pop Rock] I had some Vanilla Ninja albums up awhile back. This is from their Traces of Sadness album.
Lareine: Imperial Concerto
Oomph! feat. L'ame Immortelle: Brennende Liebe***
Overground: Aus und Vorbei
Vanilla Ninja: Liar

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] I actually didn't check back to see if this was a request for the single, song, or video, but seeing that I was putting up the video anyways *points below* and a single wasn't any trouble, I did everything. ^__^ The chances of me screwing up again have been greatly reduced... anyways, single from a few years back, maybe. I really never check dates, but it's not their most recent, so that's all I can offer. *shrugs*
Gazette: Hyena
To:
Comment: [English; Alt Rock] I had Placebo's other albums up here a few months ago. Yes. Ha ha I seem to remember everything except what's actually on this rotation... anyways, these two are earlier releases... Sleeping being from 2003. The self-titled is, quite naturally, their first release.
Placebo: Sleeping with Ghosts
Placebo: Placebo
To:
Comment: [English (USA); Alt Rock] This seems to fall under that difficult to describe category of alternative rock, but here goes. They apparently sound similiar to: 30 Seconds to Mars, Panic! at the Disco, and the Aacdemy Is... Mind you, I have no clue how these bands sound like, but I thought it might help those who are in the know. Anyways, this album is from 2003. [English (USA); Soundtrack] From the Disney Movie. [English (USA); Pop Rock] Their newest album.
Kill Hannah: For Never and Ever
Kill Hannah: Until There's Nothing Left of Us
Prince of Egypt: OST
Hercules: OST
The Higher: On Fire
To:
Comment: [English (Finland); Gothic/Doom Metal] Oh, I really like the Yearning. I got an album from them awhile back and the vocals on it are stunning. Slowish, gorgeous stuff similiar to Saturnus and November's Doom, just not as doomish, I think. XD [English (Finland); Melodic Death] I had this album up before in my personal collection, but got rid of it some time back because it was too screamish for me. Or at least I think so. I remember this album. *frowns* [English (Sweden); Doom Metal] Apparently, this is a solo project because the sole member couldn't find people that could make the perfect band. Lol. I'm sorry, I thought it was slightly amusing. Anyways, this is a demo, I believe, although I could be wrong. Info on this artist is so hard to find! *grumbles* [English (USA); Experimental Dark Metal] [English (Italy); Epic Doom Metal] [English (Sweden); Melodic Death Metal] [English (Finland); Black Metal]
Yearning: Frore Meadow***
Kalmah: The Black Waltz
Forest of Shadows: Where Dreams Turn to Dust
Agalloch: Ashes Against the Grain

Doomsword: Let Battle Commence
Arch Enemy: Burning Bridges
Catamenia: Eskhata
Irepress: Samus Octology
To:
Comment: [English (German); Folk Rock/Celtic] Some more Fiddler's Green from last week. If anyone missed it, this is a German band that plays Celtic and Irish Folk music. Heavily relying in traditional instruments. [German; Neo-Medieval] The same can be said of the latter band, which was likewise up last week, except their more classical/medieval. MM is apparently a rare album, or so the zip name claimed. XD Tumulus, who plays on the third album is a folk metal band similiar to In Extremo and Schandmaul. *nods*
Fiddler's Green: Another Sky
Fiddler's Green: Make Up Your Mind
Corvus Corax: MM
Corvus Corax: Venus Veni Musica
Corvus Corax feat. Tanzwut: Hymnus Cantica
Corvus Corax: Cantus Buranus
To:
Comment: [English (Germany); Electro-Industrial] Alas, the only thing as of now that I have from this band is a 2 song single with Melotron (who I have no idea about). More should be coming, as in 3-4 more full albums. *sighs* Anyways, this single isn't all that bad although the Electro aspect isn't that appealing to me, although I tend to enjoy industrial music... if it's good. XD Umm... so not the greatest, but definitely not the worst I've heard. [English (Sweden); Black/Thrash Metal]
In Strict Confidence feat. Melotron: The Sun Always Shines on TV
In Strict Confidence: Exile Paradise
In Strict Confidence: When Sun and Moon Unite
Bathory: Blood Fire Death

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] This was listed as the Billy discography, so I was hugely annoyed when I found that this discography didn't have the right single. :( Anyways, Billy, being unknown to me, reminds of the heavier, louder bands in Jrockdom. I searched them and received this as their top matches: Screw and Sadie. Hope it helps.
Billy: Shichou R [Tsuujou-Ban]
Billy: Baby Sugubbai

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] A whole slew of Vidoll. Ha ha this is an almost discography and would have been if a few singles hadn't somehow gotten corrupted after I burned them to CD. Wonderful. Anyways, I have always adored Vidoll and still do. Their stuff, no matter from how early or recent in their career, is just stunning. *nods* For simplicity's sake, and if someone wishes to sample them, I recommend my best. ^__^

Comment: [English (USA); Alt Rock] I had these guys up before, and these are their most recent album and their first, in that order, if I'm not mistaken, especially about that first one, but I think that's right. *nods* Pretty *cough, cough* mainstream, so I won't get into it too much. Lol.
Audioslave: Revelations
Audioslave: Audioslave
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Dir en Grey's indies band, minus one member. I actually didn't realize just how much they've released before I went a'searching. Anyways, I really like some tracks, although others are a little iffy. I think you can tell that they're in their experimental stages. Lol. Not that's a bad thing. :D
La:Sadies: Lu Ciel***
La:Sadies: Norowareta Rakuen no Kage***

Comment: [French; Musical] Ha ha one of my many obsessions. I think I've encouraged/recommended/bribed people into listening to this for quite some time, but if you haven't listened to me: download now and you'll love it. ^__^ No, I'm serious. It's an amazing musical, chronicling the earlier life of well, Le Roi Soleil, HRH Louis XIV. (can you tell I'm a nutty fan?) [English (USA); Industrial/Shock Rock] And well, I'm not a fan. at all. of Marilyn Manson, but seeing that this requester flattered me by asking for the first album, I'll let it slide. Lol. This is his newest album.
Le Roi Soleil: OST***
Marilyn Manson: Eat Me Drink Me

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] As far as I know, and I've been searching quite extensively, this is most, if not all, Juliadoll (and maybe Renny Amy as well) has released. Seeing that I haven't heard of either band, I searched them and well, got each other. -___-; Which did not help. A little lower down the list was these bands for both: Lynch, Sadie, and 12012. And I must agree, harder, heavier rock, but very lovely. I was impressed.
Juliadoll: Eternity
Juliadoll: Hate
Juliadoll: Departure
Juliadoll: Rusty Rain
Renny Amy: Monochrome to Shinjui
Renny Amy: Bullying
Renny Amy: Courtship

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Nookicky seems to be quite a big hit for people at this little rotation. I would be somewhat surprised if it wasn't for the fact that they're difficult to find. Really difficult, from my experience. Anyways, synthy, quirky music a la Guniw Tools which is one or more of the members previous band, if I remember the info correctly. ^__^
Nookicky: Rigid Ink Pool
Nookicky: Pinhole *new link*
Nookicky: One Aging by Nook
Nookicky: Noon Moon

Comment: [English (Poland); Death Metal] Ha ha I heard of Vader long before I got into metal, since their Japan tour was featured in a Polish a/m mag I used to get sent to me (and then it disppeared completely *pouts*) Anyways, yeah, I don't like their style, but I thought I'd throw that in, because I thought it somewhat funny at the time. Don't ask. Anyways, more should be coming, but here's two, earlier releases perhaps. XD I think Impressions might be their newest or one of them.
Vader: The Art of War
Vader: Impressions in Blood
Vader: The Future of the Past
Vader: The Ultimate Incantation
Vader: De Profundis
Vader: The Beast

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Wow. Miyavi seems to also gotten into the contest of trying to release the longest single title. -___-; Man, I didn't even type this one out, just copy and paste here. Anyways, single from a few years back and oddly enough, one I didn't hear of. (I actually forgot if this too was a video or single request so I put them all, video's below ^^;)
Miyavi: Freedom Fighters -Icecream wo Motta Hadashi no Megami to, Kikanjuu wo Motta Hadaka no Ousama-
To: Leftover Requests (perhaps for you? XD)
Comment: [English (Germany); Alt Rock] The album that took quite awhile, given that the 4lyn was requested weeks ago, but as we go down the leftovers list, we shall see that it's the most recent one up here. Still, more stuffs. [Japanese; Rock] This was requests months ago, I'm sure of it, to someone. -___-;; It finally finished and unfrotunately, it's just a whole bunch of songs, even though there might be some mismatched singles in there as well. Soundwise, as I have never heard of them before, they're similiar to bands like Cali=gari, The Back Horn, and Merry; hence, pretty good stuff. ^^; The next request was actually one for Brand0, which was somehow related to another artist and that I can't remember. *sighs* But pretty good compilation disc, although the unfortunate thing is that Brand0 does one track. x__x Lastly, another requests with an unforgivable, months long delay. This is the new project of several Shelly Trip Realize band members. Similiar in sound to their earlier band. *runs away in utter shame*
4Lyn: Pearls and Beauty
La Vie en Rose: Random Tracks
Blood x Brand0: Kessen
Tinc: Voyage
.: PVs :.
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] As promised, here's the video to the single, and fortunately, the video doesn't seem to have the massive subtitle tacked onto it. Or maybe so and no one bothered putting it in. XD I actually don't like this video and the song for that matter. Miyavi's rendition of the word Freedom (which he repeats more than anything else) is so whiny and annoying. Expectantly, at least for me, the video features mock protestors and Miyavi standing with nothing but an American flag wrapped around him. -____-; Yeah, didn't like it.... but I won't get into it.
Miyavi: Freedom Fighters
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] aka known as Yura Sama's Para Para Lesson Okay, quite honestly, I was scared off by this at the mere title and rightfully so. XD This features a step by step video so that you too can dance along to your favorite PlC songs. I watched through one, and man! this is so stupid it's somewhat funny. Yura-sama acting so serious through the whole thing and Aya having to dance, and not looking too thrilled about it. ^____^;; (btw, I hope I got the names right, I don't like PlC, for obvious reasons given my anti-boucy nature)
Psycho le Cemu: Prism (Para Para Lesson)
Psycho le Cemu: Gekiai Merry-go-Round (Para Para Lesson)

Comment: [Japanese; Rock] A whole bunch of videos here, so I won't go through everything individually, but yeah, Gazette videos. I'm not that much of a fan of their music and videos, but they're pretty impressive, visually, so little complaining there, I suppose. Ruder, btw, comes with the making of tacked on at the end, whether you want it there or not. XDD Next, Rentrer en Soi videos are always lovely because I like their music, although the earlier sutff, like Bunretsu, has that... indies feel to it (think low budget ^^)

Comment: [Japanese; Anime] This is the anime opening that was supposed to be up last week, but it finished a few days ago, so it's up now. This is the well, beginning animation to the show, and the song is sung by... oh, dear, I had her name before... Nami something. XDDD Forgive me.

Zomg. You see, I'm going on a two week trip to Easter Island as of tomorrow, so I am really appreciating the fact that I can put new (to me) Nookicky on my iPod for the long plane ride!!! :3
One thing though, the Pinhole link doesn't work. It says the file was on for a limited time but was then deleted. D:

I'll definitely reup it for you and send the link to you. I only feel awful that I might not be able to get it to you before you leave, but I'll try my best to be speedy. Haha, that's so amazingly strange, that I just can't believe. I wanted to request Vidoll's discography and what? Today (after two weeks without the Internet, ough) I came on rotation and Vidoll was here! Don't know, what is it, maybe some kind of telepathy? ;-)
So, taking Vidoll. And maybe something else, but now I don't know what.
Thank you very (very!) much and have a nice day (hope in your place is sunny ^^)

I also have a small request. I know this isn't actually music, but it's music related. I've been searching and searching for the Cure Japanesque Rock Collectionz DVD vol. 3 featuring Vidoll, and I can't seem to find it. I'm just looking for the individual member segments, so if there's any way you might be able to find it for me, I would greatly appreciate it! And take your time, I'm in no hurry. ^^
