Rotation #70
Mandatory Introduction:
Hello! Welcome to Color me Blood Red, a weekly rotation site featuring oodles of music and videos for your listening/viewing pleasure. Mainly Jrock stuffs, but I tend to throw on whatever genres (mostly some amazing European metal) I feel like. *bows* Come on in and enjoy!!
Today's Random Thought (10/04/07):
dofnffroirevldifnfs! When did it become October? O__o
Ahem, anyways, I come with some important news this week. Seeing the amount of stress I've been under, in particular with regards to this rotation, I've decided to take a little vacation from it, so I regret to inform everyone that THERE WILL BE NO ROTATION NEXT WEEK. I do apologize for this, and those with pending requests, please don't worry. I'll contact you. :) Also, as there will be no rotation after this one, REQUESTS ARE CLOSED for this week. I do feel awful, admittedly somewhat, for doing this to everyone, but I really, really need some time to relax and I -need- to have some time as well to catch up on any pending requests from the past rotations. I really hope everyone understands this. And of course, I'm hoping it will back to normal in two weeks from now.
PS. I might be out of town as of Friday, so any replies, re-up requests, pending uploads, etc may be slightly delayed. I'll write back as soon as I can. :)
A few rules:
1) Please, please don't go crazy when requesting stuff! Under 10 albums/videos at once sounds quite reasonable to me, excluding discographies, which are allowed. But do let others have a chance as well: there's always next week. ^____^
2) If you do not have a lj-account: the comment is listed as anonymous, so feel free to leave an email address or name if you want your stuff to be grouped together or you want to be notified. Completely optional, of course. Also, please do note that wait times may vary depending on my list of requests and if I have to locate something. He he I'm not ignoring your requests, just keep checking back. It won't be more than 1-2 weeks.
3) Here are my playlists, but feel free to request anything in absolutely any musical genre; however, please, PLEASE refrain from requesting mainstream music as it's very easily accessible elsewhere and the goal of my site is to introduce obscure-ish, international, and highly underappreciated, artists... please let me do so, but again feel free to request anything that's not here and I will try tirelessly to locate it for you. Do understand that I can't guarantee anything that isn't on these lists. I have been *grins proudly* quite good at finding stuff in the past....

4) Done? Now comment below. ^^
Yeah, I was thinking I should put this up here someday: somewhat-LEGAL DISCLAIMER: These files are meant for sampling purposes. Yup. *nods* If you really like what you hear, then go out and BUY the album, and prove to the bands that you do indeed love them. YesAsia is a great place for all Oriental stuffs featured here. I don't buy European albums online, but honestly, the Genghis Khan of Internet-dom: Amazon should help you out there. That's it. Enjoy!! ^_____^
*** = especially recommended by me,

Comment: [English; Alt-Rock] Most recent single from this band, but that's excluding their albums. Okay, that didn't make sense. -___-; From 2001. There.
Bush: The People that We Love
To:
Comment: [English (Mexico); Aggrotech] An English (I think) track from this predominantly Spanish singing group *see below for album*
Hocico: Not Like You
To:
Comment: [English (Wales); Alt-Metal] He he not much to say... apparently a band that mixes lots of genres like metal and... reggae. O__o? Can't imagine it, but that's what they claim [Japanese; Anime] OP to this anime And OMG, super sexy! song from DNAngel. I absolutely adore this one with its organs and sexy vocals... wow!
Skindred: Nobody
Last Exile: Cloud Age Symphony
DNAngel: Kodou ~Whenever~***
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Not sure if this is the right song, but it was the only thing coming up with tsuki. *looks around anxiously* Oh, how pitiful!
Misia: Hana Tori Kaze Tsuki
To: anonymous
Comment: [English (Germany); Power Metal] Okay, so I'm getting -nothing- for the first band. I'm assuming they're somehow linked in genre to the other request. Maybe not. ;____; Oh dear. Ahem, the second is power metal. Yup. From an album I didn't check. :D
Hitmen: Like I Love You
Edguy: Wash Away the Poison
.: Albums :.
To:

Freezepop: Future Future Future Perfect

To: anonymous
Comment: [English (Germany); Symphonic Metal] Hmm... deja vu moment here. I think I listened to this already. O__o Anyways, newest albm from this band. Similiar sounding to Leaves' Eyes, After Forever, etc.
Xandria: Salome -The Seventh Veil-
To:
Comment: [German; Rock] I had these guys up before and I sincerely hope this is their discography, because it's all I'm getting from them, but yeah... *should be it*

Silbermond: Laut Gedacht

To: Kamimura-san
Comment: [English (USA); Soundtrack] Music to the movie starring a few people I recognize and can't name. Nice. ... Ah, and I did get them all right: the Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, and Jack Nicholson movie. :D [Japanese; Pop] I really like Sakamoto Maaya's vocals. She's one pop artist I can listen to and enjoy, especially when she has done some gorgeous songs for many countless anime. Very good vocals.
The Departed: OST
Sakamoto Maaya: Purachina
Sakamoto Maaya: 30 Minutes Night Flight
Sakamoto Maaya: Yunagi LOOP
Sakamoto Maaya: Dive
Sakamoto Maaya: Single Collection + Nikopachi
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Belated request. ;___; This is the bonus CD to the Eien no Yume single, but the bonus is actually a full-length album containing their best hits, which I thought odd BUT I love their music, so can't complain. :D NOTE: I upped this without realizing three tracks are missing, they're coming as soon as they're uh, down/uploaded. ^^;
Kisaki Project: Eien no Yume ~Bonus CD~ (Best Of)***
Kisaki Project: Track 12: Shinki
Kisaki Project: Track 13: Kosou
Kisaki Project: Track 14: Douhyou
To:
Comment: [English (USA); Acoustic] Guitarist with apparently a lot of talent -- well, from what little I've read (and bah! why must I always misspell the artist's name on my request sheet and then wonder why nothing pops up?) Anyways, second most recent album from him.
Andy McKee: Art of Motion
To:
Comment: [English (Finland); Symphonic Metal] Brand new album from the band featuring their newest vocalist after having ousted Tarja Turunen. So the verdict comes: XD I think that a band -must- tread lightly when choosing a new vocalist, because most of the time the entire feeling of the band's music is lost. Here is one such case. Now, I'm not saying the new vocalist can't sing. She can and isn't bad at all, but for Nightwish, I thought it and the music backing her seemed... lackluster. I'm not -that- fond of Nightwish to begin with, but I was quite disappointed that the gorgeous operaticness with an almost power/epic metal feel to it is pretty much gone. Ah, my complaining won't do anything, but I thought I'd share. ^^ [English (Norway); Hard Rock] Discography to an apparently famous Norwegian band, spanning quite a number of years. *nods*
Nightwish: Dark Passion Play
Turbonegro: Apocalypse Dudes
Turbonegro: Scandinavian Leather
Turbonegro: Party Animals
Turbonegro: Never is Forever
Turbonegro: Hot Cars & Spent Contraceptives
Turbonegro: Darkness Forever! Between the Lines in Hamburg and Oslo!
Turbonegro: Ass Cobra
To:
Comment: [English (USA); Alt-Rock] There was a subtitle or something on the original request, so I hope this is right. Newest album from them.
Fair to Midland: Fables from a Mayfly
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Pop] Vocalist somehow related to SMAPS and others. *shrugs* It's kinda strange that similarities to him are all female vocalists. O__o
Suga Shikao: 4 Flusher
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Kuroyume is the one that's SADS vocalist, correct? Expectantly, the music is quite similiar, and that's why I'm not overly fond of it. XD
Kuroyume: Fakestar ~I'm Just a Japanese Fake Rocker~
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Brand new single from a band I had up a few weeks ago. Like Lynch, Deathgaze, etc. Hence, very good.
UnsraW: Kein***
To:
Comment: [Spanish (Mexico); Aggrotech] Hmm... I knew this sounded familiar! I downloaded this before (and the requester suggested it, ne? :D) although I think I'd call it more industrial... what on earth is aggrotech supposed to mean?? O__o Sounds more like a water-resistant fabric than a music genre.... *is stupid*
Hocico: Signos de Aberracion
To:
Comment: [English (Belgium); Aggrotech] Ha ha that's so weird. Complaining about not hearing this aggrotech and here it is again. Anyways, likewise categorized as Eletro-industrial. Their newest album [English (Finland); Heavy Metal] Brand new album from this death/thrash metalesque band. [English (Australia); Synth Rock] I've had these guys up before. They seem to be quite influential, especially for the Australian electronic/industrial movement... whatever that is, but ha ha I did state the fact [German; Gothic Rock] Apparently, another influential band, this time starting the German gothic movement in the 80s and early 90s.
Suicide Commando: Axis of Evil
Children of Bodom: Hate Crew Deathroll
Angelspit: Krankhaus
Xmal Deutschland: Tocsin
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] I find Janne da Arc a tad upbeat for me. I don't quite care for the vocals as well, but it's not all that bad. Similiar perhaps to L'arc~en~Ciel, Pierrot, etc. And some lovely, louder 12012. <3 Both singles I adore. [English (Finland); Rock] Lastly, an -amazing- band that doesn't seem to be much known compared to other Finnish acts, BUT you have to get this!! Vocals are superb and this entire album is just... gorgeous. Really.
Janne da Arc: Z-Hard
Janne da Arc: DNA
Janne da Arc: Another Story
12012: Shin ~Deep~***
12012: Bellsalem***
Poets of the Fall: Carnival of Rust***
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Somewhat recent album from them. Actually, it's their first full-length album and is great too. For those who don't know them: a tad darker than other bands and like 12012, D, Phantasmagoria. [German; Industrial Metal] Ooh, I really do like anything Rammstein releases. This is no exception. *nods* Still their most recent, I believe. "D
Rentrer en Soi: Rentrer en Soi***
Rammstein: Rosenrot***
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Picked out some random MUCC, which also happen to be the biggest stuff from them. I <3 MUCC by the way. Amazing, harder band with great vocals. ^__^v [Korean/English/Japanese; Rock] Gah! so much languages, but she is indeed Korean and the vocalist of Cherry Filter. I prefer her band work better, but some are quite nice.
MUCC: Zekuu***
MUCC: Kuchiki no Tou***
MUCC: Cover Parade***
MUCC: 6***
MUCC: Libra***
MUCC: Tsuuzetsu***
Youjeen: The Doll
Youjeen: Bewitch
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Newest, I think, single from the ex-Schwarz Stein member. Darkwave synthiness.
Hora: Prominence
To: anonymous
Comment: [English (Norway); Pop] They say some pretty good things about this singer/songwriter/instrumentalist, which intrigued me, but ha ha then I sorta lost interest when they say he wrote songs for Beyonce and other artists... like that. O__o *not a good thing* His most recent album. [English (Australia); Pop]
Espen Lind: April
Darren Hayes: The Tension and the Spark
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Omg! *squeals* I've been waiting for this one! <3 <3 <3 Ah, the fangirl is so happy!!
Buck-Tick: Tenshi no Revolver***
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Somewhat hard, classic band that's been around awhile. Similiar to Buck-Tick, Metronome, hide... perhaps.
Soft Ballet: Earthborn
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] First single from the band and one from a little later on. Great stuff
Dir en Grey: Missa***
Dir en Grey: Ain't Afraid to Die***
To: Leftover Requests (perhaps for you? XD)
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] A whole slew of jrockness. First, one of those missing singles from Sugar. ;___; Next, every Kein song I have. They're somehow related to Deadman (oh, I'm sure the requester is going to punch me for forgetting after they told me about it) Single from KuRt, which is a little like 12012, Rentrer en Soi *both featured above* One full album from Vogus Image. Good stuff. Special edition containing -all- versions of VfB in one, 18-track album. hmmm... I forgot who these guys are related to, but another, yet another late request [English (USA); Alt Rock] Newest album released last week [English (??); Metal] No info about these guys. I'm kinda relieved though that this album didn't come from the Christian rock band of the same name I found. *shudders*

To:
Comment: [English (Finland); Symphonic Metal] Newest videos with the new vocalist. *see comments above on that* Video, not music, wise, they're pretty nice. Amaranth is a beautiful, semi-artistic piece that I quite enjoyed. The seond is a little dull, and features the male members of the band transforming into scantily clad women. O___o?
Nightwish: Amaranth
Nightwish: Bye Bye Beautiful
To:
Comment: [English; Alternative/Hip Hop] What? Female rappers? x______x Oh, what has this world come to! *starts puking and muttering similiarly phrased ramblings*
MIA: Bucky Done Gun
MIA: Galang
To:
Comment: [Japanese; Rock] Odd video from Pierrot which uses the psychedelic part of the title quite uh, literally. XD [German; Industrial Metal] The contraversial video to the equally controversial song. :D
Pierrot: Psychedelic Lover
Oomph!: Gott ist ein Popstar***
To:
Comment: [Movie] OMG! O____O I totally forgot this was supposed to mpg on another server! Damn. That's going to take a good day, but alternate links are coming. This, by the way, is the sequel to the movie featured last week (if you missed it or you were having problems, go here for some links: http://idols-unlimited.com/nana) and it WORKS. :D Ha ha I double-checked this time. Just make sure subtitles and movie are in the same folder and you use HJSplit to connect them. Also, this was obviously ripped from a VCD since it's in two video files: part 1 and 2. Part 2 is coming shortly. ^^;
